This gallery features Polynesian tribal tattoos created in our Bangkok studio.
The designs and patterns are inspired by Polynesian, Samoan, Maori, Marquesan and other island traditions.
I started tattooing in 2004 and have spent years studying the history and patterns of these styles.
My main specialty is traditional Polynesian tribal tattooing and related styles.
Most of the pieces shown here are done in pure black ink, with clean lines and solid black areas
to ensure strength and readability of the designs.
The gallery includes full back pieces, full arm tattoos and large compositions built around traditional patterns.
You will see classic Polynesian symbols such as spirals, chevrons, circular shapes and repeating motifs,
each with a cultural or personal meaning.
There are also animal designs in a black tribal style: manta ray, octopus, dragonfly,
turtle, lion, scorpion combined with a bull, phoenix, tree of life and wolf head, etc.
Some tattoos are designed around a dragon or adapted to existing work, including cover-ups and touch-ups of old tattoos.
One piece was created in direct collaboration with a Samoan artist, who shared family patterns and stories to guide the design.
It was an honour for me to earn his trust for his tattoo.
Another is a traditional Samoan back piece for a female client who wanted a design linked to her culture.
Classic and old-school tribal styles are also represented, as they remain very popular.
The gallery also shows simple black bands: armbands with two or four bands, and a single band around the ankle.
Some tattoos feature large solid black areas on the arm or leg, creating a bold visual statement on the body.
